what is a dream

In the article "what is a dream?" the author mentions what people think about dreams in the past, and the scientists' attempts to interpret what the dreams are. First, our ancestors didn’t pay attention to what the dreams were, but they thought that they were important to the individual's feeling and bodily contentment. Not only that, but they thought that god had sent to them message by dreams. Second, in the twentieth century was the beginning of dream studies that made people believes that the dreams illustrated something in their personality. Third, Freud was the first person studied dreams by his wish-fulfillment theory and his book The Interpretation of Dreams. He assumed that the person expressed his wishes and frights in dreams because they were improper in actual life. Third, in balance theory" To Become Popular" by Carl Jung's. Jung viewed that the person contacted with his wishes by dreams. Next, William Domhoff assumed that there were relationships between the dreams and the person's age, sex, society, waking activities, and believes, compared the dreams between the adults with the children and the women with the men, and noted the similarity and the difference between people from 11 cultures. Finally, the author mentions that it is very hard to know the meaning of dreams and the agreement between who study.

In one night I had a really bad dream. I dreamed that I was insane for long time, and I could see invisible things; after that I started to feel better. I found all my family around me, my mother, father, and my sisters, but I didn’t see my husband and my son, so I was very worried about them. I started asking about them; where were they? For how long had i been sick? What happened to me? After that my phone rang and I woke up; I was so happy that it was just a dream. I think it was the worst dream I ever had.

The computer

Around the world technology helps people to get a comfortable life. Every
year we have new technology and we can see the difference between who uses it and
who doesn't. In my live, computer is the best thing that helps me to learn anything,
get information about anything, know what is happening in the world, buy what I
need from any store and have fun. I really feel sad for anyone who didn't use
computer, like my mother. She never uses it; when she had seen me or my sisters
spend a long time on the computer, she got angry and usually said, "that is very bad,
you are never doing anything; read books or watch news. She thinks computer will be
harmful to our brain. Due to not using it, she thinks it is a disadvantage. I'm
determined to change her idea. First of all, she should know I can contact people
around the world with a low price, better than if I use phone. I can meet a lot of
friends at the same time. Second, if you want to go to shopping you'll spend your
time but maybe you can't find what you want. I can get anything very quickly and
from any place with low cost. Finally, I don't need to buy books or newspaper or go to
the cinema to see movies because I can get everything online. In conclusion,
computer is the best technology in the world because it makes the entire world like
one village and helps me to change my life for the best. I think my mother now wants
to use computer. She'll get an easier life better than before.

Trains In My Country

Trains In My Country

In my country we had have big train station. It was a connection between my country and the neighboring countries, but it fell into ruin since the first World War. Now the government wants to renovate it. I think they should do that with high technology, to be befitting with the development in the world. The most important thing is, these trains should connect all Saudi cities and also pass through to the small towns. Second, they should have the net and network connections. When the travelers spend a long time aboard the train, they need to use their laptop, to work or have fun. The network will help them to enjoy. In addition, no one now can wait without internet. Finally, the train should have comfortable seats and beds for the long trips. In conclusion, people in my country are looking for these trains. They think it'll be helpful to a get comfortable trip, so the government should do what people need to encourage them to travel by train.

Dreams: Making Them Work For Us

In the article "Dreams: making them work for us," the author states that People harm their life because they had nightmares in their dreams. They are always tired and become work hard. If people want to stop nightmares, they can follow two techniques. Milton Kramer's technique has five processes, in which people can review their day and connect their dreams with daily life. The other is Dr. Rosalind Cartwright's technique, in which they recognize problems of bad dreams and try to stop any bad dreams. People can change bad dreams and can feel positive. Then, the real life is better.
