Colors' meaning

This article talks about colors’ meanings and how the meaning of colors changes between cultures and through time. In this time, according to recent studies, in The U.S.A. black means power, stylishness and also submission. White is the purity’s color; for that reason brides wear white, and doctors too, because it means sterility too. Red is an emotional color because it manages to stimulate the senses; for that reason it is called love’s color, while the blue color produces calm. Green symbolizes nature, can improve vision, and also means relaxation. People in yellow rooms lose their calm and concentration. Purple is a sophistication synonym, and also it’s a romantic color, and finally, solid, reliable brown is the color of earth.

I am in discord with the idea that purple is a color that denotes sophistication, because I think that to denote sophistication a color must be sober and elegant, like black, which can’t show power and at the same time submission, because the colors don’t have sex. I agree with the idea that red is the color of the passion, but not of the love, because I think that love is a mixture between peace, security, happiness, fidelity and passion.
