I visited the infoplease web site. In this site, the table indicates a Gender wage gap in certain occupations and is expressed as a percentage divided by percent women and earnings ratio. It shows that women have smaller percentage in some jobs with estimated earning of above $34,000. It also says that women typically hold lower-paying jobs and work in traditional female occupations such as register nurses, teachers and social workers.
It is a very interesting data that female bus drivers are almost half of workers. There are a few female bus drivers in Korea. Women are gradually more common in jobs that are held by men than they were. Status of women in our society is also getting higher than past years. However, we would know that occupations in which the majority of workers are women are fixed to some jobs. Therefore, I think that a range of jobs for women is still narrow. This site includes lots of knowledge you need. If you are interested in this site, you will find it
